Comment | The natural substrate for this enzyme may be peptidyl-tRNAs that drop off the ribosome during protein synthesis. Peptidyl-tRNA hydrolase is a bacterial protein; YHR189W from Saccharomyces cerevisiae appears to be orthologous and likely has the same function. |
