CommentPhosphoribosylformylglycinamidine synthase is a single, long polypeptide in most Proteobacteria and eukarotes. Three proteins are required in Bacillus subtilis and many other species. This is the longest of the three and is designated PurL, phosphoribosylformylglycinamidine synthase II, or FGAM synthase II.
