CommentThis HMM represents a family of fused PTS enzyme II B and C domains. A gene from Clostridium [1] has been partially characterized as a maltose transporter, while genes from Fusobacterium and Klebsiella [2,3] have been proposed to transport the five non-standard isomers of sucrose.
