CommentThis HMM represents the IscA component of the ISC system for iron-sulfur cluster assembly. The ISC system consists of IscRASU, HscAB and an Isc-specific ferredoxin [1]. IscA previously was believed to act as a scaffold [3] and now is seen as an iron donor protein. This clade is limited to the proteobacteria.
