| Comment | Members of this family are the periplasmic protein TorT which, together with the the TorS/TorR histidine kinase/response regulator system, regulates expression of the torCAD operon for trimethylamine N-oxide reductase (TMAO reductase). It appears to bind an inducer for TMAO reductase, and shows homology to a periplasmic D-ribose binding protein. |
