| Comment | Members of this protein family are transcription factors of the LysR family. Their genes typically are divergently transcribed from choline-sulfatase genes. That enzyme makes choline, a precursor to the osmoprotectant glycine-betaine, available by hydrolysis of choline sulfate. |
