Develop novel mass spectrometry-based techniques for efficient and high throughput proteome identification and quantification

  • Alternative protein and peptide separation technologies
  • Large scale clinical/microbial sample preparation for biomarker discovery and clinical diagnosis
  • Novel sample processing methods for shotgun proteomics
  • Label-based and label-free proteome quantitation

Study microbiomes and their participation in human physiology with metaproteomic approaches

  • MS-based microbial identification (e.g., from urinary tract) as potential clinical diagnostic method
