Where do we go?

Beginning in 2005, the DiscoverGenomics! Science Education Program was on the move in Maryland. In September, we began started visiting the classrooms of our four founding schools while the mobile laboratory was being built. Since the delivery of the mobile laboratory in January 2006, nearly 2,000 students in the Washington Metropolitan Area from over 75 schools have participated in 9,200 hands-on activities on it. The DiscoverGenomics! Mobile Laboratory visits schools within a 50-mile radius of Rockville bound by the Chesapeake Bay.

Additionally, the DiscoverGenomics! Science Education Program loans equipment and offerings in-classroom teaching or assisting with qualified teachers. In the academic year, 2007-2008, the DiscoverGenomics! Mobile Equipment was formally launched to reach to out schools within a 75-mile radius of Rockville bound by the Chesapeake Bay.
