The Human Microbiome Project (HMP) was initiated by
NIH to probe the richness of the microbial communities living in and on
the human body to help us understand their role in human health and
disease.
JCVI supports the HMP metagenomic whole-genome shotgun
analysis (WGS) with this dedicated HMP instance of
JCVI Metagenomics Reports (METAREP) to make the large volumes
of WGS data amenable for exploratory data analysis. Current status:

METAREP enables users to slice and dice data and compare
multiple datasets at various functional and taxonomic levels
applying statistical tests as well as hierarchical clustering,
