  • The NSF-funded Generation of Potato Sequence and Annotation Resources project has moved to Michigan State University. The Comparative Genomics Resource initially developed at TIGR has also moved to Michigan State University.
  • Project information, personnel, contact details, data, and analysis tools can be accessed at http://solanaceae.plantbiology.msu.edu/.
  • Only the chromosome 6 BAC sequencing status pages will be maintained at the J Craig Venter Institute. Please change your bookmarks appropriately.

August 30, 2007

  • The Solanaceae Genomic Resource Page has been reorganized.
  • The NSF Expression Project will be ending on September 30, 2007. Studies will be released to GEO. The site will be moving to Michigan State for long term maintenance.

  • As part of our efforts in the Potato Sequencing Consortium, we end sequenced all of the BAC clones in the RHPOTKEY library. The sequencing success rate was 90.2% with an average edited length of 621 bp. A total of 65492 clones (84%) had both end reads. The sequences can be BLAST searched here on downloaded from our FTP site. All sequences have been deposited into GSS division of Genbank.

  • TIGR Potato cDNA Microarrays are no longer available for distribution. Users interested in obtaining potato microarrays are advised to consider several commercial options (Combimatrix, Nimblegen) and also the POCI oligo array.

March 14, 2007

  • The final date for ordering TIGR Potato cDNA Microarrays is April 15th, 2007. Orders received after this date will not be accepted.

  • Position opening: TIGR is seeking qualified applicants for a Bioinformatics Engineer position within the Plant Genomics Department. For a detailed description of what the position entails, requirements, and how to apply, visit the Project Openings page.

May 4, 2006

  • cDNA clones (5' and 3' ESTs) across all versions of the potato 10k array have been aligned to their equivalent potato Transcript Assemblies. The potato microarray clone table has been updated, and searches now support queries for Transcript Assembly identifiers (e.g. TA72_4113).
