Aida Shadfan is JCVI’s vice president of finance. She was most recently director of accounting and finance at San Diego State University. In this role she worked with deans, programs directors, and business and financial affairs staff to ensure the accuracy of budgets, financial reporting, and the integrity of financial systems. Additionally, she was responsible for planning, forecasting, organizing, and directing budgetary activities.
Prior to her role at San Diego State University, Ms. Shadfan was the controller at San Diego Center for Children where she was responsible for day-to-day accounting operations, including the production of periodic financial reports, maintenance of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls designed to mitigate risk and enhance the accuracy of the company’s reported financial results.
Ms. Shadfan earned a bachelor’s of science in accounting from California State University, Sacramento, California and went on to earn a master’s in business administration from California State University, San Marcos, California.
