James Christensen 

Sr. Software Engineer

James Christensen is a senior software engineer at the J. Craig Venter Institute (JCVI) supporting the GCID team with tool building for robust, efficient sequence processing and analysis.

Prior to JCVI James worked for Cataneo GmbH in Munich, building commercial airtime management and billing tools used by television broadcasters around the world. His 20 years of software development experience are despite graduating in 1993 with a BA in German Literature and European History from Nebraska Wesleyan University.
